Cantina Brunello di Montalcino Le Macioche
Cantina Brunello di Montalcino: Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello from the 80s
In over 30 years of working the land here at our Cantina di Brunello di Montalcino, we have been carefully producing the fine Tuscan wines typical of our region: Rosso, Brunello and Brunello Riserva di Montalcino
Rosso di Montalcino, our wine from the youngest vines.
Our winery produces this Tuscan wine using methods that guarantee the highest quality end product. By refining the wine for over ten months, we give this Tuscan red a touch of elegance and mellowness that pairs well with cheeses and game. The refining process of our Rosso di Montalcino enhances its organoleptic properties yet still retains its incredibly enjoyable flavour. A great everyday wine.
Brunello di Montalcino, the iconic wine of our winery.
Capable of handling long ageing, this typical Montalcino Sangiovese has made our winery’s region famous. This Tuscan red has a ruby complexion that releases delicate tannins with ageing. It’s well-rounded and can be enjoyed on its own or paired with typical Tuscan dishes. The best five-star Brunello vintages according to the Consorzio del Brunello include 2006 when the grapes were exceptionally ripe thanks to the favourable summer, 2007 when we produced a wine with the finest flavour with powerful notes of plum and blackberry, and the 2010 vintage which features intense, elegant sensory notes with an extremely long, lingering finish.
Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, the quintessential Tuscan fine wine.
From the best vines at our winery, Brunello Riserva is only made during the best years. It features intense, lingering, finely sophisticated notes to satisfy the palates of even the most demanding connoisseurs. The considerable success achieved by this wine has made it the jewel in the crown of our Brunello winery. The Brunello Riserva 2004 was so good that it was declared one of our finest Tuscan wines, given that the perfect climate of this vintage brought out the typical sublime qualities of this Riserva. The Brunello Riserva 2006 vintage also received wide acclaim and its high quality shows glimpses of its long, favourable ageing process.
